📦 Know Your Move Options

🏛️

Government Move (PPM/GTC)

The military arranges and pays for your move through a contracted carrier. Best for large households or long distances.

✓ Pros

No out-of-pocket cost

Government liability coverage

Carrier handles packing

✗ Cons

Less control over timing

Shared truck possible

Claims process can be slow

🚛

DITY / PPM Move

You arrange and execute your own move and receive a reimbursement based on the government's cost estimate.

✓ Pros

Keep any savings under the estimate

Full control of your belongings

Choose your own timeline

✗ Cons

Upfront costs required

You're responsible for damage

More planning required

🔄

Combination Move

Split your move — government ships some items, you handle the rest. Common for families with vehicles, pets, or valuables.

✓ Pros

Flexibility for special items

Reduce risk on valuables

Optimize reimbursement

✗ Cons

Requires more coordination

Two sets of logistics to manage
